Learning Objectives
- Determine an advanced scientific approach to wound cleansing.
- Evaluate methods to simplify wound dressing selection and NPWT application for chronic wounds.
- Create a competency based learning plan to support evidence based patient care (NSWOC, SWAN and foundational education programs).
- Discuss the mechanism of improving blood flow to the lower extremity using a muscle pump activator.
- Identify an advanced wound healing approach through the use of topical oxygen therapy.
- Examine innovative wound products and how to access through distribution.

Joshua Moralejo
MScCH: WPC, BScN, RN, NSWOC, WOCC(C), IIWCC
Joshua is a certified Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence with a Master of Science in Community Health - Wound Prevention and Care. He currently practices as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound & Ostomy Care at UHN - Toronto Rehab Institute Bickle Centre. Joshua has been involved in several expert panel and guideline initiatives related to wound care including the recent 4th Edition of the RNAO BPG on Pressure Injury Management and the 4th Edition of the NPIAP, EPUAP, PPPIA International Pressure Injury Guideline. He is the current Ontario Regional Director for Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC) and the President-Elect of the Canadian Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (CPIAP).

Josh Gohl
BScN, RN, NSWOC, WOCC(C)
Josh has been a Registered Nurse since 2011 and has extensive experience in many areas including surgical nursing, palliative care, and the emergency department. In 2016, Josh finished his education in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care and became an NSWOC (then ET). He has worked at The Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN), formally Grand River Hospital (GRH) in Kitchener, as a Skin, Wound and Ostomy Consultant since 2017 and in 2020, he took over the program when his mentor retired. Josh oversees the program, caring for patients at both of the WREN sites, @Midtown and @Chicopee. Josh has contributed to several guidelines with the PAIL Network, HQO and NSWOCC. In addition to his work at WRHN, Josh also runs a private consultant business-seeing patient both privately and in LTC. He is compassionate, direct and an exceptional advocate for his patients.

An engaging keynote presentation will be held during lunch, with identical morning and afternoon sessions provided to provide flexibility of choice for the busy schedules of care professionals. Attendees are welcome to attend both sessions.
